Something eco friendly, natural and abrash look, is nothing but hemp. This is yarn which is bit harsh, but is very high in strength and look. There are different types of handmade carpets and rugs made with hemp, in different counts.
In addition to different qualities of handknotted hemp, in 80 knots, 100 knots or so, flatwoven pattern is also choosen for high end clients. Here is the picture of hemp rug on loom, showing the look. These types can be made in any sizes with width upto 4mtrs or say 12 ft.
